Hey guys,

Last Saturday I went to see fireworks festival at Han River Park.

Seoul International Fireworks Festival is an annual event that is open to everyone. It invites fireworks developers internationally and this year there were three teams in total; U.S., Philippines, and Korea!

The event ran from 1PM in the afternoon till 10PM. Besides fireworks, there are performances and other ceremonies during the day. I know some people go there super early to get good spot and camp out till night. Now that I think about it, it’d have been the best to watch it on the Wonhyodaegyo (bridge) because the main stage was right next to it.

Anyway I headed out around 0630PM to take subway and was hoping to make it there right before fireworks began. BUT when we got to Yeouinaru station…..

it was HAVOC.

Couldn’t even fight this so we just went with the flow and walked to the park. We missed more than half of the American team’s.

I was so into watching the show I forgot to take pictures… but here are some. The order is all messed up.

This one below is my favorite 😀

Sorry for the quality. The picture below doesn’t do justice!

Basically the whole bridge was lit up with rows and rows of fireworks. It was so beautiful!

And here is the video of Korean team’s finale.

By the time the show has finished, we have already walked all the way from the subway station towards the 63 building.

So we tried to be smart and decided to walk even further until Line 1 Noryangjin (Seafood market) station thinking that there won’t be as many people going towards that direction. But I was wrong…DSC_0065

It was crazy over here too. But it wasn’t too bad as I was playing Sudoku, my favorite game, whilst walking.

And since we were going towards the seafood market, might as well drop by and get some seafood right?

We wanted to eat supper there but as you can see many of them in the picture also thought they were hungry and might as well eat at Noryangjin.

There were long queues at the restaurant so I just grabbed some fresh abalones to take it home. Abalone sashimi, Yummy!

All in all I think I’ve walked about 10km that day. I’d say it was a very random but yet different night.

But I don’t think I’ll ever go back to Han River Park for fireworks… fighting through the crowd is just… not fun.

Happy Monday and until next time…

우아… 진짜 멋있네요. 이번에 한 불꽃놀이가 세계 불꽃놀이 대회에서 수상했다고 하더라구요?? 그래서인지 더 멋있는것같아요 ㅎㅎ
